Alert as Preval is victim of identity theft and confusion of identity
PREVAL and its Chairman Thierry Flecchia are victims of identity theft from an unknown source whose purpose is to mislead the recipients of commercial communications and create confusion with PREVAL. Therefore, PREVAL warns the public against solicitations made by an entity referred as “ECP Invest” or “ECPreval Invest” depending on the material. This entity uses false commercial documentation (with unauthorised use of the “PREVAL” logo, its address and usurpation of Thierry Flecchia’s identity) in order to promote an investment “offer”.
ECP Invest, which is the entity that initiated this fraudulent solicitation, makes use of the website “http://www.ecp-invest.com/“, which immediately redirects users to PREVAL’s website.
PREVAL and its representatives do not know ECP Invest and have no connection with this entity, in any form whatsoever. ECP Invest is not authorised to contact potential investors in the name and/or on behalf of PREVAL, or to make reference to PREVAL’s website or any other information concerning PREVAL.
At this stage of our investigations, PREVAL has not been the subject of any computer attack or intrusion. PREVAL has thus not been hacked but is the victim of identity theft taking place independently from the systems controlled by PREVAL. However, we are taking all the actions in our power to put an end to this disorder and this undermining of PREVAL’s integrity, in particular with the judicial and financial sector regulatory authorities.
We urge investors to be very cautious and therefore not to respond to requests from this entity and not to relay them to any third parties in any form whatsoever.
PREVAL is a société anonyme having its registered office at 11 boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg, entered in the Trade and Companies Register under number B190081 PREVAL, acting as a management company subject to the provisions of Chapter 15 of the collective investment schemes act of 17 December 2010, as amended, and authorised and overseen in Luxembourg by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF).
